I made a previous version of this dress last summer and as I expected I ended up wearing Tilly’s Bettine dress a lot. So when I started thinking of adding a new, comfortable, easy-to wear everyday dress to my wardrobe, I thought about this pattern again.

The previous version was made of woven fabric, light-weight denim, but I have been looking forward to trying it with knit fabric. I got this knit fabric from a local fabric store and it worked out pretty well for this dress. I like the fact that the fabric has a bit of drape.

I wanted to add more ease to the dress so I made this one a size bigger, size 5. Since I used knit fabric, I did not make the pockets and the tabs. I did not change anything at the top part of the dress. However, the hips came out too curvy again even though the fabric has drape. I ended up straightening the side seams like the last time.

This dress turned out to be even more comfortable with knit fabric. I am glad that I made this version because I already wore it quite a bit of times.
